When is check-in and check-out?
We don't think you should have to adjust your schedule to fit ours, so we let you tell us when you'll be arriving. That way we can be here when it is best for you. We can often check guests in as early as 12 noon and sometimes even earlier - just let us know when you'll be coming in! Check-out is not until 11am on the day of your departure.
Where can I park?
Feel free to park on either side of the street in front of the house. Please avoid parking in the gravel driveway or on the pad at the end of the street as that is the neighbor's driveway.
What does 'Cannabis Friendly' mean?
Glad you asked! First and foremost, there is NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND IN THE HOUSE OR THE POTTING SHED! In a nutshell, it means that we have a designated structure, separate from the house, for those who wish to consume cannabis without disturbing those who do not. Basically, if you want to consume, we have a place for you to do that. If you don't, you'll probably have no idea that it's even an option. What is the cancellation policy?
Single room reservations must be cancelled before 10 days of arrival. Reservations for multiple rooms (including guests traveling together under separate reservations) or the entire house must be cancelled 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled within the 10 or 30 day period will be refunded if they can be re-booked. Reservations cancelled per the Winter Weather Guarantee are not subject to this policy.
Does the cancellation policy apply to cancellations due to Covid-19?
As Covid-19 is now a known risk to travel, if the reservation is cancelled within the applicable 10 or 30 day period due to Covid-19 but the room cannot be re-booked, you will receive a Credit Voucher good for 12 months from the original date of arrival. If the room is able to be re-booked, there will be no charge. **If cancellation is due to official travel restrictions issued by state or local government, you will not be charged.**
Are children allowed?
All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
What is breakfast like?
***DURING THE TIME OF RECOMMENDED SOCIAL/PERSONAL DISTANCING, BREAKFAST WILL BE SERVED DIFFERENTLY. GUESTS WILL BE SEPARATED DURING BREAKFAST WITH A MAXIMUM OF 2 COUPLES IN THE DINING ROOM, ONE IN THE PARLOR. IF THERE ARE MORE GUESTS THAN THAT OR BY REQUEST, GUESTS WILL HAVE THE OPTION OF IN-ROOM DINING FOR NO FEE.***
Breakfast is served at 8.30am in the dining room and will include a variety of seasonal offerings. It is a full, hot breakfast and you will not leave the table hungry!
Do I have to eat in the dining room?

For those guests who prefer to have a private dining experience, we offer in-room breakfast for $25 per day. This will be served between 8.30am and 8.45am. To take advantage of this amenity, please select it in the 'Upgrades' tab when making your reservation or just give us a call and we can add it for you.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
With advance notice, we are more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or food sensitivities.
Can I bring my pet?
For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are not allowed. We are happy to arrange kenneling services if you should be in need of that.
Is smoking allowed?
Illinois regulations stipulate that smoking is not allowed inside the inn or on the screened in porch. Smoking is prohibited within 15 feet of windows or doors. A smoker's bench is provided for those who wish to avail themselves of it.
